Curry Chicken Bun @ Seremban

Sis's bf bought us a big big Curry Chicken Bun from Seremban some time back. One that is bigger than my face!



It is not easy to eat this bun. We had to go through a few steps in order to get it into the able-to-eat state -_-" First you need to cut the bun open in order to get to the curry. Mom initially passed us the butcher knife @_@



Since the inside of the bun sticks to the aluminum foil that wraps the curry, we had to use our hands to open it. Make sure your hands are clean! Cleanliness is of vital importance to prevent from getting food poisoning.



There's another layer of plastic inside the aluminum foil. Cut the plastic open and Voilà! Curry chicken and potatoes!



It's time to eat now. Grab the bread at the sides, dip in, put in your mouth and chew. We finished the bread but did not even touch the meat in there. Hehe. As for the curry, there's nothing special about it. Tasted a bit too sweet and not spicy at all. Fail! The curry tasted a lil like Malacca kind of cooking -_-"

Wong Kok Char Chan Teng, SS2

Continue with my antedate post. Here's one on Wong Kok Char Chan Teng at SS2. Spicy-B and I went over for a late dinner after our 'shopping' trip to Matta Fair. That's the day we bought our Lang Tengah package :)


Wong Kok Char Chan Teng offers Hong Kong style food and I don't think I need to elaborate in details about it as the restaurant has already made its name known to the public.



Like any other proper restaurants, they separate the smoking area from the non-smoking ones. Where did we seat? Of course the non-smoking section! Duh! I can never understand how smokers can sacrifice to sit on hard plastic chairs just to smoke instead of sitting comfortably on the sofas inside the restaurant @_@



I don't frequent such restaurants as I never liked the taste of Hong Kong food. But I've made my share of visits to Kim Gary long time ago. So everything offered in this restaurant is very much familiar to me. These types of restaurants are all the same. Creativity is something they don't have, I must say.



According to Spicy-B, the ready-placed cutleries were something new. They used to bring the utensils needed to us when they serve the food. But now, it is all ready at the table even before you order.


Drinks and food on the way.............

Yes, Ying Yong (not sure the spelling) is the only drink that I order there (and also any other Hongkie restaurant). I usually take it hot and without sugar but this time I shared with Spicy-B and he liked it cold, I guess. I have tried some chocolate drink from this restaurant the first time I went there and it was yucky! So to be safe, order this drink and no other!

You have a few options on the sauces you want to go with the rice. He picked the Portuguese sauce. I find this kind of rice to be very jelak to eat. Not my type of food.




I don't consume rice if possible. I always opt for noodle when I eat out. Rice is something I will crave and eat occasionally :) So I had BBQ Honey Pork Noodle. So much better than his rice! Haha. The pork is not too sweet. Not too bad. The mee kinda tasted like wantan mee.




Here's something extra for us. Sausages! I love sausages, but not the sweet type. I supposed those sweet ones are called Taiwanese sausages? Anyways, these small little sausages are the sweet type :( But, as they are still sausages and I was really hungry at that time, it tasted much better at that moment. LOL.

Vehicle Reimbursement Company

It worries me whenever I think of the fact that I will be joining the work force in near future. Yes, it is nearer than I want it to be. I'm worried about the interviews, the work, the sufficiency of my knowledge, the environment of my future work place and also my transportation. You hear me right, transportation is a big problem to me. I presumed that I would need to drive to work myself every single day.

First, I do not know how to drive even though I already have my driving license. Two, the petrol price has increased and decreased. But no matter how hard the government tries to lower down the price of petrol, they can never reverse it back to how it used to be. I promise the cost of driving a car will be a burden to me.

I hope my future employer will provide me with mileage allowances. However, I've heard that some companies practices troublesome procedures for the employees to claim. For those companies, I think a good Vehicle reimbursement company will just do the trick for you in improving your systems. It will definitely do the companies a lot of good as satisfied employees improves productivity!

Japanese snacks

Japanese snacks! *yum yum*

That bar of sweets tasted like Sugus, but not as sweet. Surprisingly both mom and dad like it very much. A tad more expensive compared to Sugus. RM2.50 for that bar of gula-gula. If not mistaken there are apple, orange and strawberry flavors to choose from.

Pepero sticks are similar to our very own Rocky. Both are in sticks form. Duh! Pepero nude flavor sounds rather hamsap -_-"




I presume the nude was referring to nude outer layer, as in not coated with choc or whatsoever.




Each of the sticks is filled with soft chocolates. I'm very picky when it comes to chocolates. It must not be too sweet or taste too cheap. Not to say that I only eat expensive chocs. I can't really afford to do so. But I just can't take certain types of chocs with weird taste. Pepero sticks don't taste as good as I thought it would. The chocs tasted a bit weird. Haha.




I want those Japanese wasabi nuts!!! Why is it so f*ckin expensive! Not worth to eat :P

Baby Boy's First Celebration And German Food At Bavarian Bierhaus @ The Curve

Spicy-B turned 22 on the 12th of July! Yes, we are now the same age :D

I hope he enjoyed his birthday celebrationS (it's plural). There were three birthday dinners altogether. Boy, we can really eat! I feel Fat, FAt, FAT and yet I'm still craving for more good food now! Oh, I blame it on no other but the nature of being a girl. PMS :(

The first celebration celebrated one day earlier with his family. FAMILY means with his mum, dad, sister, brother and brother's girlfriend. Stress* I'm no good in this. I'm good with friends' families but not boyfriend's family. LOL. Where did we go? What did we have?

We went to Bavarian Bierhaus at The Curve for some German food :D The restaurant is not air-conditioned but is well equipped with ceiling fans. The weather that night was cooling so I can't tell how it would be like if you goes there in the afternoon. Dim lighting and quiet atmosphere makes it a good place to hang out after work. There's a pub at the corner of the restaurant. No wonder most of the customers were somehow in formal wear and drinking instead of eating -_-"

We ordered a few mains to share. Spicy-B decided to order Beer-Hickory-Ginger BBQ Baby Ribs. I bet mainly due to its cute name. The dish comes with mashed potato and red cabbage. This dish was a disappointment especially to Spicy-B because he was expecting so much from it. The meat was tender but taste wise, it was rather bland. I do not like the taste of the red cabbage at all. It was sweet! Sweet veg? Eeww* I did not get to taste the mashed potato. According to him, I was too full at that time so he did not get me any -_-"

Pork knuckle is a must to order if you're dining in a German restaurant. The most expensive dish we ordered was the Bavarian Crispy Pork Knuckle with smoked Bacon and Honey-Pepper Glazed served with sour Cabbage and sauteéd Potatoes. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Spicy-B loved it. I think I'd like it more if they marinate it longer? Hehe. I like the sour cabbage very much though. Yummy*

Next, The Combo Mix Sausages has six different sausages on a platter – German Bratwurst (German par-boiled pork sausage), Hungarian Wurst (smoked sausage), Chorizo (Italian mildly spiced pork sausage), Neurnberger (grilled provincial sausage), Weiss Wurstfranfurters (mildly seasoned white sausage) and Lamb Mequez (small herbed lamb sausage). The sausages were awesome! I'm a sausage lover, what more can I say?! :) A must try!

We had two different types of pastas that night. Spicy-B was too busy eating that he forgot to take a photo of the Carbonara. Never mind about that as I don't remember eating that too @_@ The Linguini Pasta was not bad. I like the cherry tomatoes. It really adds a tinge of tomatoes sourness in it. Overall, we were expecting more with such prices. Guess we'd need to hunt for another restaurant if we were to have German food again.

Love You Not, Big Apple

Another outdated post this should be. I am still not in the mood to blog about the Malacca trip yet. Things have been rather stressful the next day right after we got back. Sigh. I will be attending my first Advanced Taxation class this coming Tuesday. A subject that HungryJess and I opted for just because it has the highest passing rate in the whole wide world. We really do not like the image of us taking any ACCA papers still at the age of 50. That is a horrific image I tell you! Start praying for us!!


Alright, back to the original post. It's about doughnuts/donuts (I thought 'doughnut' is the correct spelling, but I see a lot of people using 'donut' nowadays. I guess both are correct?). It has been long since I crave for any doughnuts. So as most of the Malaysians coz I can see no long queue at Big Apple's or J.Co anymore. We are all so over with the big hoo-hah about the dough with a ring in the middle. Oh yea, I am easily influenced in certain things. I admit I did join the long queue at J.Co once. Take note - ONCE! :P

So much as I don't crave for it, my Spicy one and I had it for lunch. 6 pieces of it! Finished by only the two of us! Gosh, fattening!!!! You see, Mr. Boyfriend has a dog at home now (will blog about his dog next time) and he is trying to be a good owner since the irresponsible person who has brought the dog home has not been doing anything a good job in taking care of the dog, let alone pampering the dog. So we went to get Rooney (the dog) some snacks in Desa Park City. That's how we end up eating dough for lunch. LOL.

Will just briefly talk about the doughnuts since everyone would have already tried every flavor that is available. Pardon me for not able to give you the exact names of it. The one far left is a chocolate flavor doughnut with melted chocolate filling. It was still hot at that time, the burst of melted chocolate in the mouth was oh-so-good. But clumsy boy here stained his pants! *shame-shame* My boy is cute. He is very cute! Hehe. Next, (clockwise) I do not really like the vanilla flavor one as it is too sweet for my liking. If I have it a week before my menstrual, maybe I'd like it. Hehe. Shhhh.... A week or so before menstrual, girls like me do like to eat food rich in flavor.

My favorite will still be the hazelnut flavor. I like the crunchiness in every single bite :D From my favorite, to the least I like. Cinnamon flavor, that is. It tasted like those kuih sold at the morning market -_-" The next black doughnut is actually coated with sesame. You know how sesame can add flavor to food that we eat. Same goes here. It's very nice for a doughnut to taste like this. Not sweet. A lil' crunchy. Just the right amount of sesame.

OK, now you see the one with green filling in the middle? That's kiwi jam. Sweet. Nothing special. More like jam with bread? =S

After all these, if anyone would offer me a treat of another half dozen of doughnuts, all you'd get is, thanks but I think I'll pass.

I can't believe I have written so much. Feels as though I've not been talking for a very long time. Mood swings. PMS. -_-" I shall sign off now.

Bakin' Boys, Gossip And Madam Kwan's @ KLCC

M.C.Square is a certified bum! We were supposed to accompany HungryJess shop for a brand new wardrobe in KLCC. Instead of giving our lazy legs some exercise, we end up resting our cute bums almost half the time there. The whole time we were making fun of the fats that M.C.Square has managed to store in his body. Hehe. We did it out of love. Pure love, man! LOL. I don't understand why he bought sports attire as Chinese New Year clothes this year but end up keeping it for good. Better start jogging, else the "Adult" belt wouldn't fit you anymore, my dear friend. The so-called teenager belt couldn't fit M.C.Square anymore! :P

M.C.Square tried a cookie from Bakin' Boys. The stall is located at the highest floor. I think the stall is new. Or has it been that long since I stepped into KLCC -_-" Outdated. I accidentally 'stole' the menu home! Paiseh*

They have a variety of flavors to choose from. There were also pieces of cookies cut for people to try. I had a bite on the one M.C.Square bought. Very very chocolatety! Chocolate lovers would adore this. It tasted more like brownies than cookies actually. The one we tested actually has melted chocolate on the inside. HungryJess loves it coz it's chocolate. It was only so-so for me as I do not have cravings for deserts for a very long time already. The cookie was rather too sweet for me too.

I wonder a cookie like that managed to fill which part of M.C.Square's stomach. I guess it went down without a feel. We head to Madam Kwan's for lunch after walking into a few shops looking for his belt :)

HungryJess ordered the famous Nasi Lemak but she changed the rice into white rice. Healthier! The curry tasted good as usual. The portion was big, for me. But it was just nice for HungryJess. Price range is about RM12++.

M.C.Square ordered Nasi Bojari. It is a type of Indonesian coloured rice that comes with assam prawns, beef/chicken (your choice) rendang and deep fried chicken drumsticks. The drumstick was HUGE! It cost about RM19++. The rice smells really good and it tasted good too. The curry is just the same as those that served with nasi lemak. I don't think I can finish the whole plate if I were to eat it all myself.

Since I was not the one who went to KLCC with an empty stomach, the man ordered chendol as desert! But he, being a greedy one wanted the chendol to be served immediately, the same time as his main course. So he ends up having his 'melted' chendol instead. tsk*tsk* As you can see from the picture, there were not much red beans and green stuffs that chendol is supposed to have. It's a good thing though that the serve the palm sugar syrup separately so that you can pour depending on your liking. Totally forgotten how much it costs -_-

Chatted and gossiped at Madam Kwan's for at least 2 hours I think. I had lots of fun. The maggie trick was good. M.C.Square, HungryJess, lets all laugh now!! :P And we are all against living with our in-laws in future! Hehe.

We Love Balls But We Hated The First Place

Besides spending time with Spicy-B, I managed to slip some time off to go shop around with HungryJess and M.C.Square. Ahhh... I love holidays. Who doesn't right? So sad for FairYan who is still burning midnight oil in the preparation for the internal exams. If she is studying, that is. HungryJess and I completed our shopping mission in the Bukit Bintang area in just a day. I will never ever try to walk around shops in Sungei Wang anymore!! The clothes there really tak boleh pakai larr... Let's just say, I'm not as fashionable as those people who shop there -_-" And I'm lucky I'm not :P We ended up getting our eyebrows shaped and purchasing nail buffers that was on sale. *Girls will still be girls*

We then went over to Low Yat Plaza hoping to get a pirated CD for Spicy-B. I know it's illegal, but we're cheap and poor -_-" Anyhow, someone there told me they don't sell pirated stuffs anymore. How could that be?? I thought of all places, Low Yat will still be the pirated CDs heaven to all! Tak mungkin!!! Tak mungkinnnnn!!!! After getting all disappointed, we had our balls as snacks! Oh yea, we both love balls. We have been eating that for lunch almost everyday in college. But the curry fish balls there were better. All balls are good!! :P

Next stop, Pavilion. Pavilion has no sales atmosphere at all. You can barely see anyone carrying shopping bags around. So we end up sitting around, chatting our way till it's time to fetch HungryJess's mom from the office. That was so much better than walking around a mall with no extra money to shop. Dinner at the Republic food court was not bad. At least you can fill up your stomach with less than RM10.

I slept over at HungyJess's place again after so long. Great fun. Tired. But that didn't stop us from making a trip to One U! Hahhahhahahaa..... We are shoppers with good staminas! :D

Ferrero Collection

TeddyMcBun had difficulties deciding what to get us (the girlfriend's family) from his China trip so he bought Ferrero chocs from the airport instead -_-"

We tried three different types of flavors altogether. First was Ferrero Garden. Crispy biscuit in coconut flavor. Not a big fan of coconut products except for the drink itself. So, I don't really like it. A tad too sweet for my liking.

Next, Ferrero Rond Noir. From the colour you could already guess this is kinda like a dark chocolate. This is a refined plain chocolate specialty. I don't remember biting on the crunchy biscuit. Maybe there isn't any to start with. Yeah, I forgot. Not much to munch on, it melts in the mouth.

The ones we usually see in every supermarket, yes, Ferrero Rocher! Fine milky and crispy hazelnut flakes chocolate covered with a crispy entire hazelnut and creamy filling.

It's not tough to choose a favorite at all. To me, the best is still the classic Ferrero Rocher. Feels good munching it in the mouth. *Yumyum*

I wonder who started with the thing about how chocolates could make people happy or feel better. The only thing I felt after eating was - FAT! So damn FAT!

De Foodland Seafood Restaurant

I am really good at making my posts outdated. Haha. Here's another one. We celebrated dad's birthday at De Foodland Seafood Restaurant, located in Manjalara. It's great to be able to get delicious crabs so near home.

I was stoned to see the menu. It was filled with so many pictures all the food available there. This is certainly good for those who are not good with names of food, same goes to us. The pictures sure helped us in the selection of orders. However, there was not a single "RM" word in the menu. They didn't state any price in the menu -_-" How to budget??

We prefer to have some greens when we eat Chinese food. So, we ordered the Four Heavenly King to go with our rice. It is a mixture of four different types of veggies fried together. And the fried krill really added some flavor to the dish. This is nice as it's not too salty. I've tried some salty ones in other restaurant. Hmm.. salt might be some cheap stuff at those moment.

Judging from the name of the restaurant, you would have already guessed that we ordered seafood as well. We had Kung Pou Mantis Prawns that night. It is also known as Lai Liu Har in Cantonese. The dish comprises mantis prawns, red chili, onion and capsicum fried together. The prawns are fresh. The gravy goes well with the rice as it tasted sweet in a way. I was rather disappointed with the fact that I could not taste any spiciness in this dish. I'm a fan of spicy food but the dried chili got me fooled. Sigh~

De Foodland is famous for their crabs! *drools* I've eaten the best crabs ever in that restaurant! The crabs were very meaty and every bite is very satisfying. We ordered two different types of crabs. 1kg each. Both tasted good, but if I've got to choose one to give two thumbs up, it would be their Creamy Butter Crab! The gravy is thick and creamy *duh!* so it goes well with the fried bun. But the fried bun was rather oily! *yuck*

The other crab dish was Sweet & Sour Crab. The taste of the gravy was not as heavy as I would like it to be. But it's not all bad. At least you could taste the freshness of the crab meat since it is not heavily covered by the taste of the gravy.
