It's just not normal if you go somewhere and only take pictures of the place and none of your own face and the faces of people who went there with you. Phew* Here goes some of the pictures taken during my Hot Spring trip with the family :)
It is also NORMAL to take pictures in the car :P
But mom never layan! Macam syok sendiri Sigh~
Same goes to dad. That's because that day was not his birthday! Yeap, he will only layan on his birthdays -_-"
At last when I finally found someone who is in the mood to layan me just a little, I failed at capturing a nice angle of her. So sorry but who cares coz I looked not bad here SlowCatchUpKuan!
Here's a picture of our sponsor cum driver, Mr. EatAllYouCanShung. He's no big fan of meat, which explains the bones you see in the picture :P
I introduce to you, the person who enjoyed the most there was TeddyMommy for sure!
She said her leg felt better after an half an hour of soaking -_-" Unbelievable.
My dad being his usual fussy self that day, he didn't talk much but once he open his mouth, seriously like shooting everyone. The picture below made him look like some Hongkie head of gangster! LOL.
I love being in a jacuzzi so much that I refuse to get out of the water when everyone else was taking a break. Hehe.
SlowCatchUpKuan on the other hand was getting all giggly the whole time. She was laughing at her bf's skeleton figure -_-"
Relax for a while.......................
Then, get into action! Note for guys out there, eat more before you get bullied by your other half. XD
Since this is a family trip, it's a must to have a family portrait taken there :)
It's time to get change when we're done soaking.
Die die must put the nicest picture of SlowCatchUpKuan and I. Every other pictures has failed us :(
Here is the one and only picture of mom and dad taken together on that day. They never seem to like taking pictures together. Complicated family I have.
I got myself a little present from Sungai Klah Hot Spring Park! TeddyMommy didn't notice I was passing something to sis and that my hand was at the car door, she pushed it close quite hard and I end up getting a very dark bruise on my hand that lasted a week or so :(

Sungai Klah Hot Spring Park, Sungkai, Perak [Part1]
12 October (Sunday):- A family trip to Sungai Klah Hot Spring Park, Perak! :)
The Sungai Klah Hot Spring Park was opened in December 2003, so it is considered quite new. The most important thing about going to such public place is definitely the cleanliness of the place and the water. Fortunately the place is well maintained and the water is clear from what I see. It's a hot spring after all, the hot water should have killed whatever germs that might be there XD
Hot spring!! Hot spring!!! We are coming!!!!!!!!!!!
As you reach there, you need to pay for entrance fees of RM10 for adult and RM8 for children to get the tickets before driving in. The park is surrounded by greeneries and tall trees therefore you can enjoy soaking in the water for as long as you like, provided your body and skin can stand the water temperature.
Mom has been experiencing aches at her knees and certain parts of the legs. We heard that the natural springs have healing properties, so we went there for a try. SlowCatchUpKuan and I had always wanted to go for spas but the modern spas are way too expensive -_-" This hot spring is an alternative spa for us as we can soak in the hot water for as long as we want!!
Public pools
There were a few pools with different temperatures. Most of the people soak only their legs into the water as the water is too hot. There were a few smaller pools that are deep enough for you to soak your whole body in. Unfortunately those pools were occupied when we reached. So we opt for a private pool! :D They charge RM75/hour for a standard type of private jacuzzi and RM125/hour for the superior type. How superior is SUPERIOR? Hmm, I have no idea! We went for the cheaper one of course.
Standard private jacuzzi XD
It is worth to pay for a private room if you're there with family. Soaking in the hot water without any disturbance from outsiders is bliss.
Important notice as you close the door
One hour means ONE HOUR! Better not be late to check out as the notice behind the doors warned you for extra charges. RM15 penalty if you're 10 minutes late. Money sucker Expensive betul!
We are also supposed to take a quick shower before entering the pool. But dad said, "I bathed before we come. No need!" And so we jumped into the water straight :P
The place to take shower
There is also a private toilet in the private room. Yay! You can change inside the room instead of queuing in the public toilet.
I welcome you. That's my FIRST "peace" sign in pictures -_-" Looking at it geli-fied me! Sigh~
This private pool allows us to soak our entire body inside the water without the need to worry of getting boiled/burned/cooked alive in the hot water. Well, that's because we could actually control the temperature of the water! Mom was like an Iron Lady, she can really tahan the hot hot water! That is truly a modern jacuzzi that looks not too modern. Haha.
Hot spring jacuzzi
Like all jacuzzi in those spas centre, this jacuzzi gives you the body massage effect! It felt like the water was hitting your body as the water comes out from those tiny little holes all around the walls of the pool. Mom enjoyed it a lot! :)
Can fit two only ah??
I think the private pool can fit around 10+ people at once.
Of course can fit more!
There were also a notice near the resting area in the room advising us how long we should soak in the water and how many rest breaks we should in between. Too long in the water can pengsan leh! As our heartbeat will increase due to the temperature, it is best to not soak too long in the water to prevent from fainting. Take things slowly~
At the end, take turns to take a quick shower then change in the toilet.
SlowCatchUpKuan saying bye-bye to the private jacuzzi :(
Curious where does the hot water came from? Here's the water source. Never try to use your fingers to touch the water here!
Water source
Besides soaking in the water, you can also purchase some raw eggs and boil it in the pools of water! We did not do that though coz we opt for better food instead. Kekeke. Will blog about the herbal duck mee soon.
Boil.... boil..... boil.....
This hot spring park is a good place for sekeluarga berendam legally in the same pool family gatherings. It opens from 8am to 10pm daily.

Merdeka Caused Congestion

This is the punishment to Spicy-B and I for forgetting that day was Merdeka eve. Jam. Jam. Jam. We were forced to join in the countdown with those very free patriotic people who parked their car at the road side to watch the fireworks. Our car was moving s.l.o.w.l.y but not s.l.o.w enough. We did not catch the fireworks and we missed our movie -_-"
How I spent my Merdeka day?
Standing at the roadside eating luk luk in Aman Suria and mamak-ing there with Spicy-B. Oh yea, and also a phone call from a friend in Australia who needed someone to talk to :D
That wasn't that bad of a night. I enjoyed my supper, the company and the phone talk. Hehe.

Lee Chong Wei marks Olympic 2008
Dad has been hogging the remote control all evening (I was in the room but don't think I don't know!) and mom has been checking and re-checking the TV guide for a couple of time. I wasn't sure what's wrong with them till mom asked "Ei, the badminton finals today, right? What time ah?" for countless times. -_-"
We were all geared with sweet corns to binge on while watching the match.
I was so very excited about it. Malaysia making it into the finals in the Olympic games. I'm so proud of you, Chong Wei! :D
Oh yea, the match was between Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia and Lin Dan from China (in case you don't know lar).
Our Chong Wei is so thin compared to Lin Dan. I wonder if that's the reason he lost in the match. You should see Lin Dan's lean body. The muscled arms. Smack* Smack* Smack* SMACK* SMACK* His strength. Chong Wei missed quite a lot of cocks (shuttlecocks). Sigh.
I was kind of disappointed with Chong Wei's performance today. He looked disturbed and pressured. A little slow in reacting towards the cock. Fell on the ground a number of times. Maybe the shouts from China supporters were buzzing in his head. Lin Dan must have trained real hard since China is hosting the games. Tough one to beat.
Chong Wei lost to Lin Dan in the finals. Gosh, look at the body (picture below)! Hot! Hot! Hot! He was throwing his racket and shoes to his supporters at the end of the games. I reckon he should have thrown his shirt as well! :P
The silver medal goes to Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia!! Anyhow, you have done us proud! Malaysia and Malaysians are proud of you, Chong Wei!! Cheers*

Pak Lah, You Want Me To Be A Beggar??
Pak Lah, why the surprise wey?? You announce to the public that you're going to hike up the fuel price to RM2.70 by midnight? I thought the initial plan was to implement it in August. You bloody shocked the drivers in Malaysia with such increase in price. There was no warning or whatsoever.
I seriously don't get what the government is trying to do. First they ask us to car pool in order to reduce traffic congestion, it is more environmental friendly, yada yada yada. Then you implement the seat belts thingy for back seaters. Both objectives contradict each other lar. The seat belts behind will only limit the number of people that can fit into a car. How many people can you tumpang now?? This indirectly is forcing more to own a car, which then increase the number of vehicles on the road. See lar, that time jam till you die! After that still want to shock us all with the increase in electricity price! Increase this, increase that, increase inflation rate, but I don't see there's any increase in salaries. I wonder how they expect their citizens to survive in this condition. Of course they talk about a change in lifestyle. So now we have to eat grass, take bath only once a week, walk to everywhere (Malaysia's public transport really tak boleh pakai!), work only to pay bills, and kill ourselves when we can't take it anymore?!
Although I am not a driver, but this is affecting EVERYONE including me! You wouldn't know or even understand how I suffer due to this. Seriously, if the government wants to do something like this, they should have detailed planning and better alternatives for the public, unlike now. Pak Lah, please do something before you read the increase in suicide rate in Malaysia in the newspapers.
Maybe I should get a sleeping bag. Then I could camp wherever I am on the road side. I won't need to pay bill, bathe or even own a house. I might be mistaken as a beggar and get some $$ out of it. Not bad! -_-"
Pak Lah, you get what I'm trying to say here??

Mr. Sami Bulu's Favourite Quotes
Hmm.. I am suppose to be blogging about the great food in Fasta Pasta that I had in the weekend, but heck, I'm too lazy now. So I'd just grab something I read from 5xMom to entertain my readers ( you know I am talking about you right?!=P) There you go... Quotes from the very famous minister, Sammy Vellu...
Subject: Favorite Quote from Mr Sammy Blue (name changed, obviously, hereinafter shall be referred as SB or sami bulu)
1) On Pos Laju
“BESOK KIRIM, HARI INI SAMPAI”
2) The one on TV when in trying to say he was ashamed,
he said:`Kemaluan saya besar` (kemaluan means your private parts, lah! )
3) On drugs, “Jangan hisap dada” (dada means nen-nen)
4) SB said in a ceramah “Kita akan bina satu
jambatan untuk orong-orong kampong disini”, one pakcik
asked, “Datuk, sini takde sungai, buat apa bina
jambatan?” and SB glorious replied,”Kalau takde
sungai, kita bina sungai!”
5) SB’s favorite quote on national television “Toll
naik sikit, manyak marah saya. You ingat semua ini
toll saya punya bapa punya kah!”
6) During the water shortage crisis : “semua orang
diminta jgn membuang aiyerr..!” (membuang air means to wee-wee, what he wanted to say was membazir air)
7) During blood donation campaign in Sg Siput:
“..marilah kita semua menderma dara..” (dara = virgin)
8 ) During the opening speech of various function:
“…selamat datang saudara-mara semua..” (actually is
“saudara-saudari”)
9) At an opening ceremony: “mempersilakan datin paduka
rafidah aziz naik ke pentas utk membuka kain” (this one is famous already)
10)Commenting about his modesty: “sebenarnya, kemaluan
saya sangat-sangat besar”
And lastly u know why our N-S Highway concessionaire
is named PLUS.
PLUS = Pungut Lebih Untuk SB
Anyway…..I didn’t want to blog about this. But when I look at the whole building that costs millions collapsed like a pack of cards, and all he can say is :
Nation
Thursday November 15, 2007KUALA LUMPUR: The collapse of a two-storey building on a hillslope at the edge of Tasik Banding in Gerik, Perak, has Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu reeling with disbelief.
“I am shocked and I want answers,” said a furious Samy Vellu, who called for action to be taken against the contractor if it was found that structural failure caused the collapse.
It was fortunate that no one was hurt “but there must be some action,” he said.
Oh god, it's funny yet embarrasing to be led by such minister! First you get all these from Mr. Bulu then you get all the "you..you..you..you" and "erection" from our Information Minister during the interview in Al-Jazeera News on the Bersih Protest. Jokers!

Happy Deepavali
தீபாவளி வாà®´்த்துக்கள்---- Deepavali Valthukal =)
To all my Hindu friends out there, may you have a wonderful celebration of Festival of Lights! Light up as many oil lamps as you wish to thank the ever-so-many gods that you praise for the happiness, knowledge, peace and wealth that you've received so far. I have no idea how many there are. I never remember what was in the History books. There's Devi, Krishna and Lakshmi?? Haha. There you go, that's my so-called 'countless' >_< style="font-weight: bold;">$$ to share it with me this year=) Do have heaps of fun with the visiting and the food. For those who are studying abroad, too bad for you!=P Nah, no worries. Deepavali won't run away, there's always a next year to celebrate. Do call home to wish family and friends. You'd be happier to hear their voices on such a day, I promise.
Hmm.. I want to go lepak in KopiGopi's house!! But he has been missing in action for quite some time. Sibuk with his girlfriend, and I'm sure my guess is 99% correct! Pappy better not eat too much since he has the nerve to call me fatty! #&*%^@_8# I hope RavinNotTall will keep his promise=P
Deepavali.. just an excuse for me to be on the holiday mood and not study at all for the day then feel guilty on the next. Sigh.
Once again, Happy Diwali and a prosperous new year to all!!

Terry Fox Run 2007
Woohoo~ We made if to the Terry Fox Run 2007 !!!
Although there has been a difficulty in waking up at 7am, but it's all worth it!
The 2006 T-shirt surprisingly looks better than this year's one in real life. Hehe. Looks like it's not a bad thing that they ran out of certain sizes, eh? Check out the 2006 T-shirt..
Don't run away. Run with us.
The running I can do, even if I have to crawl the very last mile
Good for us that we drove to the Lake Gardens instead of taking the public transport. I don't think any of us would have any energy left to walk all the way to take a train back. No stamina lar.. Despite the fact that they have limited parking spaces available, we were able to find one in almost an instant. Not bad, it was a good start..
The blur looks on our faces. On the way to the Lake Gardens
However, the parking space that we found were not exactly in the Lake Gardens. But it's near enough, at the opposite road where Tugu Negara is. So we still have to walk across to where the assembly area was. Let's just consider that as our early warm up session =)
Semangat to run to the assembly area..I want to be the first there...Fast!!
Wow, you should be there to see the crowd! There must be hundreds of participants this year, both Malaysian and non-Malaysian. You can see different races and people from many other countries. *I like* I was so excited to see so many people gathering together that I feel like starting the run immediately. Getting adrenaline rush even before the run starts, I think. Hehe. *Paiseh, my first time in such run unless school marathon counts*
o_O Wah, so many people! Can't be the first...-_-"
Waited there for maybe 1 or 2 minutes before they start off with the "Which company/school can scream the loudest" contest. It bet it was just a way to thank those who donated quite a big lump sum of money. The winners get to take home some trophy, if not mistaken.
The three great participants. Haha...
To make sure that we don't stretch any of our muscles during the run, they invited those trainers from Fitness First to lead us in the aerobics. I so heart aerobics! The beat, the moves, the coordination, I just can't resist. We were moving attentively along with them. We have good coordination skills =) Well, not all of us though. EatAllYouCanShung were struggling to follow up the moves. The grin on his face made SlowCatchUpKuan and I laughed like some silly women, blocking others who were happily doing their aerobics. There's no need to wait for the run to start to sweat. We were already sweating after the aerobics. Ahh...aerobics was so much fun! Obviously the organisers thought that wasn't enough for warm up, so they had this group of girls on the stage doing what seemed like a mixture of Malay and Indian dance. How weird can that be?! I dare not say all, but most of us can't follow that weird kind of exercise =P
After the crap, about 9am they start the run!! The ones cycling left the track first followed by the rest of us.
Start/Finish point.. Ready, get set, goooo........
Some were cycling, some were rollerblading, some brought along their scooters, some were just walking, some jogged and there were many families that brought along their kids. Oh, I forgot to mention that there were babies as well! So cute. So cute!!
The Terry Fox Run 2007
It was a meaningful event, you actually benefits a lot from it. It's for Family and Charity. It's great to see those families bonding in such a healthy event. For those who doesn't know *is there any?*, walking is a good form of exercise. Jogging as well. Ok, let's include cycling and rollerblading too. Hehe. So, it was for Charity, Family, Health, Awareness, etc.
Run baby girl, run....
The pathway in the Lake Gardens is not wide enough to enable many of us to jog. So, we walked. That is also because EatAllYouCanShung and SlowCatchUpKuan are old now. *Tak larat* =P But I did see many senior citizens who jogged until the finish line. o_O I'm confused.
Anyhow, we did jog for a while there when we get the chance. I'm proud of us! =) We were also given a choice whether to take the shorter route or the long one. Without second thoughts, we chose the long route of course. Uphill we went! Jogged up for a while there to show off a little because the volunteers were cheering for us. "Looking good!". "You can do it!". "This is supposed to be fun. Jog". See, how could we disappoint them, right? But the jogging uphill did not last till the end. We brisk walked all the way to the end. I, of course being the youngest among the three, have the most stamina, I walked a bit too fast and dumped both of them behind. Haha. *Sorry lar*
Almost reach the finish point...Already cooling down..
Finished the run!! Woohooo~~~~
The happiest moment was when we reached the finish point. The satisfaction that we had, it's indescribable. Hungry runners need to eat too, so we went to get free bread that they were giving out. Too bad they ran out of Milo before we were able to get even one cup. Blame it on those limited supply and also on our unwillingness to queue when the line is long. =P
As were resting our tired legs, there's a family from U.S *I asked them. Hehe.* who were resting as well caught our eyes. It was such a beautiful sight to see them playing with their children. It certainly put a smile on our faces. =)
The beautiful family from U.S with their beautiful children
"Naughty daddy..I'm gonna spank you with my dolly.."
SlowCatchUpKuan wanted to 'buy' a U.S brand baby after that -_-" Secretly I wanted that too. Hehe.*The pictures I took ain't that bad, right?* My favourite is the one below...
Isn't he handsome?! I want him!!!
I'll show the secret to have good-looking kids. Look at the mother (below) and the father (above) of these children. They have both the beauty and handsome genes. *I envy them*
Scary.. baby crying.. but the mom still pushes him to me to take picture -_-"
At the end of the cry only I realized I had blisters at the back of my kaki. *I don't know that's consider heels or what* Very pain! Proven, my kind of Nike shoes were not meant for jogging or long distance walking. Sigh.
Ouch!
We went to Restoran Ful Lai in Manjalara, Kepong for some delicious dim sums as breakfast. I'm contented with today's activities.
Eat me up!
I will definitely go for next year's run, if there is any. By force or not, I'm making my friends go along with me next year! I'm not accepting "Darl, I mau tidur lar.. You go only lar" anymore! *Lame excuse from HungryJess =P* As for the rest of you, make sure to give some support next year =)
