If dad would have given me my allowance, we could go out and celebrate tomorrow (sis is sick of me telling her that. Hehe). So now, we might just have a belated celebration then. Sigh~

I just killed a cockroach in my room!! Spray. Spray. Spray lots and lots of Shieldtox. Yea, yea, I know it's not good for the environment and all. But the cockroach is the type that can fly and it's big in size! How not to kill it with that.

Anyhow, what's important is I saved the day. Sisters and I despise flying insects! Dirty! Dirty! Yuck*

It's just not normal if you go somewhere and only take pictures of the place and none of your own face and the faces of people who went there with you. Phew* Here goes some of the pictures taken during my Hot Spring trip with the family :)

My dad being his usual fussy self that day, he didn't talk much but once he open his mouth, seriously like shooting everyone. The picture below made him look like some Hongkie head of gangster! LOL.



I love being in a jacuzzi so much that I refuse to get out of the water when everyone else was taking a break. Hehe.



SlowCatchUpKuan on the other hand was getting all giggly the whole time. She was laughing at her bf's skeleton figure -_-"

I got myself a little present from Sungai Klah Hot Spring Park! TeddyMommy didn't notice I was passing something to sis and that my hand was at the car door, she pushed it close quite hard and I end up getting a very dark bruise on my hand that lasted a week or so :(

Sungai Klah Hot Spring Park, Sungkai, Perak [Part1]

12 October (Sunday):- A family trip to Sungai Klah Hot Spring Park, Perak! :)

The Sungai Klah Hot Spring Park was opened in December 2003, so it is considered quite new. The most important thing about going to such public place is definitely the cleanliness of the place and the water. Fortunately the place is well maintained and the water is clear from what I see. It's a hot spring after all, the hot water should have killed whatever germs that might be there XD

As you reach there, you need to pay for entrance fees of RM10 for adult and RM8 for children to get the tickets before driving in. The park is surrounded by greeneries and tall trees therefore you can enjoy soaking in the water for as long as you like, provided your body and skin can stand the water temperature.

Mom has been experiencing aches at her knees and certain parts of the legs. We heard that the natural springs have healing properties, so we went there for a try. SlowCatchUpKuan and I had always wanted to go for spas but the modern spas are way too expensive -_-" This hot spring is an alternative spa for us as we can soak in the hot water for as long as we want!!

There were a few pools with different temperatures. Most of the people soak only their legs into the water as the water is too hot. There were a few smaller pools that are deep enough for you to soak your whole body in. Unfortunately those pools were occupied when we reached. So we opt for a private pool! :D They charge RM75/hour for a standard type of private jacuzzi and RM125/hour for the superior type. How superior is SUPERIOR? Hmm, I have no idea! We went for the cheaper one of course.

It is worth to pay for a private room if you're there with family. Soaking in the hot water without any disturbance from outsiders is bliss.


Important notice as you close the door


One hour means ONE HOUR! Better not be late to check out as the notice behind the doors warned you for extra charges. RM15 penalty if you're 10 minutes late. Money sucker Expensive betul!

We are also supposed to take a quick shower before entering the pool. But dad said, "I bathed before we come. No need!" And so we jumped into the water straight :P

There is also a private toilet in the private room. Yay! You can change inside the room instead of queuing in the public toilet.

This private pool allows us to soak our entire body inside the water without the need to worry of getting boiled/burned/cooked alive in the hot water. Well, that's because we could actually control the temperature of the water! Mom was like an Iron Lady, she can really tahan the hot hot water! That is truly a modern jacuzzi that looks not too modern. Haha.

Like all jacuzzi in those spas centre, this jacuzzi gives you the body massage effect! It felt like the water was hitting your body as the water comes out from those tiny little holes all around the walls of the pool. Mom enjoyed it a lot! :)

There were also a notice near the resting area in the room advising us how long we should soak in the water and how many rest breaks we should in between. Too long in the water can pengsan leh! As our heartbeat will increase due to the temperature, it is best to not soak too long in the water to prevent from fainting. Take things slowly~

At the end, take turns to take a quick shower then change in the toilet.

Besides soaking in the water, you can also purchase some raw eggs and boil it in the pools of water! We did not do that though coz we opt for better food instead. Kekeke. Will blog about the herbal duck mee soon.

This hot spring park is a good place for sekeluarga berendam legally in the same pool family gatherings. It opens from 8am to 10pm daily.

Post-departure-of-Spicy-B-retail-therapy

Here's my Post-departure-of-Spicy-B-retail-therapy post :) A little later than as promised coz I've been having really bad migraine after the Sungai Klah trip up till an hour ago. Panadol does its magic when you needed it.

I hate having to get used to not having someone who I have been hanging out almost everyday/every weekends for the past 3 months! It has been rough for me. Ugh, I'm weak =X

Retail therapy is definitely something that could improve nearly every girl's mood. So I went for one with sis one weekend after Spicy-B left. The only difference is, I went there with no extra cash to spend. Therefore, no comfort buys for me :(

Anyhow, trying clothes alone did a little good at least. The result of going on a shopping spree with an empty wallet.......................................

Kobe Had Her First Dog Menstrual

Woke up around 6 something today *Yawn* because everyone was getting ready to go to the University Hospital for dad's cataract surgery. I must have surprised Kobe to see me so early in the morning. So she had a little surprise for me too. Blood! -_-"

Yes, you did not read wrong. BLOOD! My baby Kobe is no longer a baby anymore. She had her first period ever this morning. She's a young adult now! I feel like a proud mother. No wonder Kobe has been acting strange lately. Getting all pissed and angry when I patted her the wrong way. She has been paddling with her two front legs and the butt on the floor the day before. It must have been the PMS. LOL.



No easy job for us to take care of her. She stained the floor wherever she sits. I found out that dog's menstrual takes one month! *gulp*

I wonder if I should get her spayed. It will sure cost a bomb. But the thing is I heard that dogs sometimes get depressed and inactive after they are spayed. I do not wish Kobe to be like that. Dilemma.



I really AM a proud mom! :D

Happy Father's Day, Dad!

It's Father's Day today! I hope you celebrated with your dad. We gotta at least show some appreciation to our dads on this particular day despite all the heartaches we gave to our dads for not listening to them all the time. Hehe.

Ahh... it's probably your problem anyways if you did not celebrate. But my family did! :D Had an early Father's Day dinner with the family yesterday. There's nothing wrong with celebrating it one day earlier. We're so sick of the standing and waiting what would have happen if we were to celebrate it today itself. Smart horrr?? :d

Hmm... I'm not too sure if everyone has this but I have my share of complaints about my dad from time to time. This sure does not make me love my dad less. A complaint can sometimes be just a complaint. There are countless reasons why I appreciate my dad but it's not easy to put it into words. I'm not good at it. I even find saying "I Love You, Dad" straight to my dad's face is rather awkward. Oh, i bet he understands since that's the way he has brought his children up :P I think my sister is a better writer than me for sure. Click HERE and find out why we love our dad! :)

I am grateful to have my dad. He has been there for me through tough times. I know he loves all his children to the extent of being over protective. Dad has worked so hard to get us where we are. I remember once where mom was supposed to fetch me after tuition in late evening but due to some miscommunication, we both waited at the wrong place and end up mom left without me. I was stranded in KL without a phone or a single cent in my pocket. I was literally begging for money to make calls and to get a train ticket back home. Those witches salesperson at that area are bitches! not helpful at all! When I finally got home, I just couldn't stop myself from crying so hard coz I couldn't help but to feel like someone has just abandoned me there on purpose even though I am clear that mom did not do it on purpose. I hope nobody will ever make me feel that way again. I am glad dad was there to console me at that time and I did felt better.

Thank you for everything, Dad! You are very much appreciated. I'm glad that you've changed to be more open to things now. It was slow, but it's better than never! :P

De Foodland Seafood Restaurant

I am really good at making my posts outdated. Haha. Here's another one. We celebrated dad's birthday at De Foodland Seafood Restaurant, located in Manjalara. It's great to be able to get delicious crabs so near home.

I was stoned to see the menu. It was filled with so many pictures all the food available there. This is certainly good for those who are not good with names of food, same goes to us. The pictures sure helped us in the selection of orders. However, there was not a single "RM" word in the menu. They didn't state any price in the menu -_-" How to budget??

We prefer to have some greens when we eat Chinese food. So, we ordered the Four Heavenly King to go with our rice. It is a mixture of four different types of veggies fried together. And the fried krill really added some flavor to the dish. This is nice as it's not too salty. I've tried some salty ones in other restaurant. Hmm.. salt might be some cheap stuff at those moment.

Judging from the name of the restaurant, you would have already guessed that we ordered seafood as well. We had Kung Pou Mantis Prawns that night. It is also known as Lai Liu Har in Cantonese. The dish comprises mantis prawns, red chili, onion and capsicum fried together. The prawns are fresh. The gravy goes well with the rice as it tasted sweet in a way. I was rather disappointed with the fact that I could not taste any spiciness in this dish. I'm a fan of spicy food but the dried chili got me fooled. Sigh~

De Foodland is famous for their crabs! *drools* I've eaten the best crabs ever in that restaurant! The crabs were very meaty and every bite is very satisfying. We ordered two different types of crabs. 1kg each. Both tasted good, but if I've got to choose one to give two thumbs up, it would be their Creamy Butter Crab! The gravy is thick and creamy *duh!* so it goes well with the fried bun. But the fried bun was rather oily! *yuck*

The other crab dish was Sweet & Sour Crab. The taste of the gravy was not as heavy as I would like it to be. But it's not all bad. At least you could taste the freshness of the crab meat since it is not heavily covered by the taste of the gravy.

I appreciate your sacrifices. I remember each and everything you've done for us in order to put us all through colleges. I dare not imagine what my life would have been without you.

I'm sorry if I've done or said anything that may hurt you in any ways. It's your day today, you may nag all you want and I won't talk back at all. I promise! :P

I like the "Dear Miss Bossy Queen" by SlowCatchUpKuan. I totally understand how you feel. That's because I was and am still one of the victim/person involved. If you don't already know, It that I mentioned in my previous post "It, who steals" and "It, steals again!!!!" and the Miss Bossy Queen is the same person, if you would call that a person lar =X Here's another dedication to It.

Not talking to her has been part of how our lives go. It's not easy if anyone were to force us to talk to each other once again coz we have been too used to not talking to each other. It would crack my dear head to think of something, anything to talk to her about. Me no like seeing you everyday walking around the house fashion showing all your expensive new dresses like some sick person just came out from Tanjung Rambutan alright?! Nobody do ironing wearing what they wore to go out, especially if you're wearing a silky dress. How selfish of you to only iron clothes that belongs to you when others need to wash your clothes as well once in a while. Plus, mom does all the washing and ironing considered every time. Is it so difficult for you to iron additional 4 to 5 clothes? I'm sorry that you're not matured enough to think straight.

How old are you already? Can't you see or understand or feel what our family has been through. You know what they say, you are what you've been through/experienced. Even the youngest in the family know how we've been able to pull it through the hard times when we barely can afford to continue our studies. We know how much mom have contributed to this family. We can see how much suffering she has been through. Being the daughters, we know deep in our hearts that we must repay what she has done for us. It's not only something we need to do, but it's also something we want to do! "Do you know how hard it is to take public transport?! You should try taking it more often. Then maybe you know how hard!" Treating her like your slave is the most disgusting thing I've ever seen! I'm sorry if you're too blind to see what all of us can see.

I'm very much disgusted by your acting. I don't see the reason for you to put up a show to make your colleagues think that you're such a good daughter, when you're obviously not! What's with the call from your office asking both parents to make passport coz you want to bring them travel when you have no intention at all? You make both mom and dad get all excited about it and then disappoint them? You play good daughter in front of dad and leave mom out?! I don't see the rational in this. You don't take responsibility for the show you've put on and leave it to those of us who are not too capable to bare it?! You're the one who made the call. You're the one who is earning big bucks. And now the ones who are still studying and not earning as much have to bare the cost?! I don't mind, really. Coz they are my parents. I'm just so sorry that you're born a bitch!


Now, that's how I end up making my own passport as well today.

[HELP] What To Get For A Retired Man's Birthday?

I have no idea what to get for my old man's birthday this year!! SlowCatchUpKuan and I have been thinking day and night for days already but there is still no list of things that we could possibly buy at sight. *Sigh*

Daddy is a retired man who enjoys tea a lot but he already got his own tea set. So cannot but tea set lor! He loves his afternoon fruit juice. But getting him a fruit juicer might end up like getting mom a new appliance for her cookings! Another no-no. He used to go jogging early in the morning but he kind of stop doing so. I have no idea why. Those huge running machines are way too space consuming for our little house. Another No here.

Aiyo... How lar!!!! His birthday is so near already. 14th April! Apa nak buat ni?!

My dad has retired for quite some time. It is time for him to get the rest he deserves. A lot of those who has retired from work often complaint how bored they are because they have nothing better to do at home. *I don't get!! I want to have nothing to do!! Why you complaint pulak??* Well, dad did not once complaint. He has occupied himself with house chores. *The housewife..er...househubby?* Once in awhile he'll ask the daughters *ahem, my sisters and I* to join him in his new "discoveries". Here's my dad's new hangout place! MaxValue in Desa Park City...
