My Bad (Pssst... I had my hair cut and dyed! =D)

I bet nobody's reading my blog anymore since I've not written a single thing for about half a year or so (excluding the one last post before this).

Lots of changes in life. Needed time to get used to things. OK, not that much of time needed for that, but I just lost the mood to write after that. I think I actually do like writing although my England is nowhere near powderful :P Hopefully this time, I'm staying.. for a longer time at least. Hehe.

Skip the past and come to the present. I've tried temporary curling my medium length hair done by the saloon, and it was unbelievably cute. Narcissism is necessary, they say. Then played with the curlers at home, and THAT was a disaster. My dog likes it though, she was wagging her tail >.<

In the end, I had my hair cut short and dyed today. Dark purple! Absolutely loving it! :) It looks as though I had it dyed dark purple with PINK highlights when I stand under the sun! Serious! No kidding.

Oh by the way, Miss Blurry will be in Kebaya this Sunday! *yay* I'm so so excited!

First Haircut In 2009

Finally, I got my hair cut and I learned something. Don't ever demand so much in a saloon in order to not get disappointed. Especially if the person you are demanding something from is a Professional hair stylist. The last few times I talked to him, I got really frustrated as he has his own opinion and always going against my will. My hair always end up looking the way he wants it to be.

You must be wondering why don't I just changed to another stylist or go to another hair saloon. Well, I'm just too phobia to try other places coz I've got my share of bad experiences on this matter. Moreover, this particular hair stylist did cut my hair nicely and professionally. The only problem is it's not the way I want it to look like. Hehe.

Anyhow, this time I did not demand much. "I want to grow it long before cutting it short again. But I don't want the process to be ugly." Fullstop. And it turned out nice. Not nice on photos though.

Here's the most decent photo:

Fugly Professional Haircut

I complained almost everyday that my hair is getting too long and messy for me to handle.

Before

Now I regret for complaining. My "before" hairstyle looks so much better now. I really hate my new haircut. Stupid hair stylist never listens to their customers. Professional konon!

After

My hair now is damn fugly! I don't even look into the mirror as often anymore. All pictures taken on the day I got my hair cut. The current state of my hair is far worse than these!

Side view

The fringe drops down covering my eyes. Yes, I now have the old mushroom head style. The difference is the current one is much uglier than the one I used to have when I was young. Plus, I am too old to be a mushroom head lar!

The picture above saddens me the most. I can spot some baldness there *sobs*

Yes, I hate my hair!

The ugly hair spoiled those pictures taken in Bukit Cahaya the next day :(

I almost didn't want to go last Sunday!

BigJeff: Hey, tomorrow want to go Bukit Cahaya?
Me: Don't want! I cut my hair dy. So ugly. I don't want to see anyone!
BigJeff: Aiya, nothing wan la. Tomorrow 7.30am I fetch you.
Me: Don't want la.
BigJeff: 7.30 fetch you! Later I will go yumcha near your place, I stop by tell you the details.
Me: No need. You purposely want to come today to laugh at me first!

And so I went.

Meet Your Victory Hair

Love at first sight is one thing that I never believe in. But if you ask me, what about attraction at first sight? Hell yes, I tell you! Most of the time that's what happens, right? That is the reason why the first impression you put on to others is very important. It applies to both man and woman. Victory Hair is one of the many little things that will make a difference in your dating life. Nobody wants to date someone who looks like he or she have not been washing his or her hair for weeks. Put on a stylish and clean hair before you head out, attract the opposite sex with a flip of your hair or just the sparkle in your eyes and then make the first move and arrange for a first date. However messy your hair gets after that doesn't really matter anymore.

Extreme Style by VO5 came out with a game called the Ultimate Flirting Championship that might be the thing that could help you achieve the Victory Hair that you're craving for. Just go there, give it a few shots, then maybe you could get the hook of it and end up being a pro!

My Transformation

I cut my hair before going off to Malacca and I wanted to cry when I had my first look at the new haircut at the mirror.

Let's go on a journey on how my hair looks like over the recent months or years....

When I had long silky hair, I crave for short hair.

Then in order to get a perfect bob cut, I straightened my hair. Chopping my hair into this length took a long time to decide. I fear the saloon before going there but I enjoy the process of hair washing and cutting. Feel so pampered. Hehe. But I'm always worried of the end result. Sigh.

It's not easy to maintain short hair. Monthly haircut is needed to look well groomed and proper. But I was broke and still am, so this is how I look like after a few months without a trim at the saloon.

A week or so before heading to Malacca, I went to cut my hair with HungryJess and her mom but without getting a rebond. This is the one that almost got me crying there. My hair started to fly everywhere after taking this photo :(

Luckily after washing it, it turns out to be not too bad :D

Errrkk, a bit too bad for HungryJess though. She did not like her haircut at all :( Maybe you should follow your mom and go back to Hartamas eh? =S

The Flirting Game

Are you a frequent flirt? If you flirt at every opportunity that you can get then you are definitely one. There are no special guides or rules in flirting actually. Everyone does it in their own unique ways. I'm not a flirt myself but I do know there are some common "steps" that people do. It is important to know your target to start with because you wouldn't want to send out signals to everyone in the hall. Eye contact is one of the most important things. Giving the right signal to the right person is the start of the flirting game! With so many people around, it is not easy to get the attention of that special someone. You must have the 'look' in order for it to work. The 'look' is the face you give others to spark their interest in you. I personally think giving slow frequent glances to the man that you're interested in will do the start and you can then let the game begin.

Doesn't really work on everyone -_-"

It's not always about what you say but also about other forms of non-verbal flirting. I somehow do not have much experience in this. I found something that could let me practice my flirting skills in a fun way! For you guys who are interested to join the fun, you could try out the Extreme Style by VO5 game, the Ultimate Flirting Championship to perfect your flirting skills. Victory Hair will sure to increase the possibilities to achieve what you are targeting for!

Short Hair, Do You Like It?

I had my hair cut by a professional! What's so great about professional hairstylist/hairdresser *I don't know what's the difference between those two. Hehe*? I don't know, I really don't. They tend to be stubborn and treat your hair as though it's their own!

No matter what and how you tell them how you how you want your hair to be, they never listen! They do what they want with their scissors! There's nothing much you can do. You don't dare to scream or yell because you will be dead scared that they will take revenge by chopping off all your hair. That's what happened to me!! Aaarrgghhh.... *sigh... I'm only able to scream here*

My hair was cut by Lawrence, the Artistic Director of the saloon in Metroprima, Kepong. At first I told him I wanted a bob haircut. So I wanted to rebond only the tip of my hair, hoping that it won't turn flat and I insisted to cut the back of it short! But he refused to cut it the length that I wanted. "I think like this is nice. If you don't like it only come back then I cut for you ok?" That's what he told me. So what happened after that? Take a look at the photos... *Ignore the pale face. I was unwell at that time*

He cut my fringe so short that I wanted to cry!!! Sobs... I don't want bangs!

It didn't get better even after the fringe parting...SIGH

I get so many negative comments! Someone said I look like a 10 years old kid! Someone even said that it's UGLY! *I was cursing you in my heart! :P*

So, I did go back to get him cut the back of my hair short... Just the way I wanted.. Although it didn't turn out EXACTLY the way I wanted. *Heck, I have no idea how to beautify it already!* It is acceptable, and I grew to love it now! :) Presenting to you my new haircut.... *clap*clap*

Front view... Not too front though.. Hehe..

My favourite!!

At last, some good comments came in after the second visit to the saloon. The first was from UncleJohnny who saw me in the car! Haha.. Thanks, man! *P.S: I want the Mickey pillow wey!!*

Will I go to the same saloon again? Hmm.. maybe, just maybe if I want to cut it short again..

Bluek* Criticise me and I'll spit on you! :P

SlowCatchUpKuan said that I look nicer with short hair in real life but in photos, long hair is nicer. Now, I'm thinking to keep my hair short or just let it grow long in future. Which yea?? *Dilemma*

Hairstyles And Face Shapes

I'm getting sick of my hairstyle! I want to cut it short! Make it straight! I love the waviness and fullness of my hair now, but I hate it when it gets messy and out of control.

I have been craving for a bob. But, how short or how long should it be? I found those websites where they offer advice on what type of hairstyle suits a particular face shape, however they were all useless to me as I do not even know how to categorise my own face shape! Haha.. Round perhaps? That's what I think. I don't think round shaped face suits bob cut =S There is a high possibility of me getting it wrong =X *Bah.. What do I know about hair?!*

For a bob cut to work perfectly, I shall rebond the tip of my hair! Why only the tip? Well, just to give myself a little hope that my entire hair wouldn't look like it's ironed-flat!

Now, I'm indecisive which type of hairstyle should I get and the length of it. All I know is, I do not really like the part that is suppose to slide long from the back to be too obvious. I find it kinda weird. Hehe. I need some professional advice! Hoping to cut it tomorrow =D Pray that it won't cost a bomb!

I like all of these!!

In reality, we know that what looks good on others doesn't mean it will look good on you. Sigh..
