iLASIK Information

Having a clear vision is important to everyone no matter what profession you are in. Today, for over 5 years now, the U.S military and NASA has increased the performance of mission-critical personnel using LASIK technology in the attempt to correct their visions. These have benefited civilians as well as those others who are involved. It has also been validated the fact that today's LASIK exceeds all established standards of safety and effectiveness.

The new and modern technology is slightly difference compared to the 'traditional' LASIK technology. The modern LASIK is known as iLASIK Procedure. As the old LASIK uses only one laser in the process, iLASIK uses two lasers. In the first stage of iLASIK, wave-front technology maps the unique characteristics of the individual’s eyes which then create a corneal flap in the eye. The laser used is computer-guided replacing the handheld microkeratome blade used in old LASIK procedures, which makes it much safer to perform. Next, the wave-front mapping data guides a second laser for vision correction.

With all these new high-tech equipments and procedures, it is safer in many ways to opt iLASIK to correct your vision. All LASIK information be it new or old could be found in their website. It is just a click away.
