Death Note Screening In English

I remember the time when Spicy-B and I watched the second part of Death Note in the cinema. The long hours sitting in cinema watching a movie in a language that we could barely understand. But the movie was not bad at all. At least Spicy-B enjoyed it.

DeathNote is a Japanese manga series that is created by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. The movie is about a high school student names Light who found a supernatural notebook dropped by a rogue Shinigami death god, Ryuk. This particular notebook allows him to kill anyone as he wish simply by writing the victim's name and at the same time picturing the victim's face. Light then vowed to use the power of the Death Note to get rid the world of evil. However, when Light starts to use it to punish the criminals and killing them one by one, the legendary detective, "L" starts to investigate. As both of them believe themselves to be on the side of justice, there were conflicts between the two of them throughout the movie. The two match wits in the attempt to prove which one of them is "good" and which is "evil".

There will be a screening of Death Note that has already dubbed in English on May 20th and 21st in selected movie theaters nationwide brought to you by NCM Fathom and Viz Picutres.
